Millennial Fog is a quarterly newsletter for those who enjoy contemplating life, introspection, and seeking greater purpose and meaning. But not in an overly corny way.
What’s up with the name?
I’ve wanted to start a blog or newsletter for many years - and have had a few false starts. Little things have gotten in the way…you know, like crippling imposter syndrome and the perplexing issue of how to pick a name. Ultimately I decided that my new quarantine hobby will be finally committing to my passion project and challenging myself to write more. Plus, I just turned thirty this week and figure, why not now?
I landed on calling it Millennial Fog for a few reasons:
It sounds like Millennial Falcon, and I come from a big Star Wars family.
Literally fog is symbolic for San Francisco, where I was born and raised, and currently live today. SF is a huge part of my identity.
Figuratively fog also means uncertainty or “something that obscures and confuses a situation or someone's thought processes,” which feels appropriate for the tone and topics I want to explore here.
Who am I?
I'm Melissa - a second generation native San Franciscan, cynical millennial, house plant & tea lover, and HRBP by day.
I'll be publishing a newsletter quarterly - with the goal of sparking new ideas, conversations, and connections. Email me at millennialfog20@gmail.com if you have a recommendation for something for me to check out and write about, or feedback you’d like to share. All opinions are my own.
Cannot wait for the newsletters to begin! Congrats on a new adventure.
So smart, I love it!
